Liquid8 was founded by Keith A. Gurtler, a commercial real estate professional with 29 years of experience advising corporate users, property owners, and investors on complex transactions across the United States.

Keith began his career at Trammell Crow Company and went on to hold senior roles at Jones Lang LaSalle and Cushman & Wakefield before becoming a Partner at Avison Young. Over nearly three decades, he represented some of the world’s most sophisticated organizations on headquarters relocations, portfolio strategy, expansions, renewals, and dispositions across office, R&D, and industrial properties.

Through this work, Keith identified a recurring and costly issue: what happens to furniture, fixtures, equipment, and build-outs when space is no longer needed.

Too often, valuable assets were discarded or mishandled—not because they lacked value, but because liquidation was treated as an afterthought. The result was unnecessary landfill waste, lost recovery value, and increased risk at the most critical stage of a transaction.

Liquid8 was created to address that gap.
